SuperGrans Western Bay of Plenty is based in Katikati and was established on 1 March 2017 with the vision of creating opportunities for all ages to share wisdom, knowledge and life skills so that generations are learning from each other, living and growing together.
Our belief is that we have a wealth of knowledge in our community and that we can foster a transference of skills by recruiting volunteers who have the heart to pass on their skills to others. We want to give our community a hand up!
Our Mentors or Super Grans work in group settings or one-on-one, where the need arises, to pass on skills like: shopping on a budget; low-cost meals from planning to plate; cooking for one; growing your own veges; making and mending clothes; making household cleaners and personal care products and much more.
Creating opportunities for all ages to share wisdom, knowledge and life skills.
Generations are learning from each other, living and growing together.
Our mentors are predominantly Grans - but some are not. We have Super Grandads and some Super not-yet Grans.
Our staff are working hard to get SuperGrans established in our community. We would love to hear from you if you would like to be a mentor, be mentored or if you have any ideas for projects that could benefit our communtiy
We are a charitable trust and our Board of Trustees consists of 6 members.
